BCL have been engaged by a national UK government agency to help oversee technical delivery of a large redevelopment programme where core business processes, data, systems, applications and infrastructure are being migrated to a Microsoft cloud platforms in order to help meet UK governmental goals of delivering a comprehensive digital strategy using cloud technology and platforms.

The programme consists of several large-scale projects concerned with redeveloping and migrating applications to Microsoft cloud platforms - centered around rebuilding and migrating on-premises Dynamics CRM 2013, Dynamics AX 2013, SharePoint 2010m 2013, BizTalk 2013 and .NET solutions to Microsoft 365 and Azure services. These solutions covered several business-critical applications that included case management, electronic document and records management, ensuring compliance with national and EU legislation as well as providing public accountability and reporting on policy, expenditure and progress on targets. BCL's involvement covered the design and implementation phases - across Dynamics 365 (CRM) applications, integrating them with SharePoint Online and Azure services to enable integration between other back-office and business systems (on-premises and in the cloud) between cloud and on-premises infrastructure and internal business systems. The solution was implemented through the use of Microsoft 365 and Azure services.

Additionally, a core responsibility for BCL with this delivery was to help enable the agency department teams to be come self-sufficient and take ownership of the delivered system to remove the ongoing issue of dependency on third-parties for support and maintenanace. To this end, BCL carried out extensive coaching, mentoring and training of staff to ensure a seamless handover.

BCL have been working with a client on migrating a number of on-premises web applications and services: re-platforming to Azure cloud services.

The applications are legacy n-tier web applications/portals built with legacy Microsoft technology (such as ASP.NET web applications, ASP.NET MVC, Silverlight and WCF service technologies to name a few) that are both internal and public-facing.

BCL have been involved in the analysis of the migrations, services and data with client teams, as well as working to design and implement re-platformed applications and services using Cloud services. This involves building new web applications, services and API's. Other technologies involved include .NET Core, Azure DevOps Docker and Auzre Kubernetes Services (AKS). and other

BCL are providing consultancy services in the form of architectural and solution design guidance for a UK regulatory body that is carrying out a large-scale IT application modernisation programme, migrating a range of on-premises applications, services and data to the cloud.
